OFF-LEASH REGULATIONS
April 2008: Save the Sorauren Park Off-Leash Area!
Download this poster and update from the Dog Committee:
Designated areas of Sorauren Park, during designated times, are available for off-leash dogwalking. Otherwise dogs must be on a leash.
The off-leash area is east of the baseball diamond, around the “rock.” See the photos below of the sign posted at the park.
Off-leash hours are:
May 1 to September 30: 8:30 p.m. to 9 a.m.
October 1 to April 30: 4 p.m. to 10 a.m.
The off-leash policy was developed with all park users in mind. The Sorauren Park Dog Committee works with other park groups and the City of Toronto to ensure the park is safely enjoyed by all. Among other things, the K9 Committee organizes an annual spring clean-up (before the kids’ sports season opens).
This website is maintained by volunteers of the Wabash Building Society.
Sorauren Park is part of the City of Toronto's Parks, Forestry and Recreation department, and is operated in conjunction with several community groups, including the Wabash Building Society, Sorauren Park (Sports) Association, K9 Committee, Sorauren Park Festival Committee, and Sorauren Park Community Advisory Committee.
