P.I.N.E. Project offers nature classes at the Fieldhouse
The P.I.N.E. Project was created to bring the wonders of the natural world back to the urban jungle. P.I.N.E. programs encourage fun, nature-based learning using games, survival skills, and indigenous knowledge. No gadgets, and no modern technology. Learn the edible plants in the neighbourhood, track the wildlife around your home, and learn what the birds are saying in the trees. Make friction fires and shelters that will keep a person warm and dry in any weather. It’s a great way to get outside, explore your natural community, and learn amazing skills that help build knowledge about the local environment! Come check it out!
P.I.N.E. Project classes start Tuesday April 7 with the first after-school program for kids and evening program for adults. 8-10 week sessions will be run for after-school programs and evening classes. Weekend workshops will also be offered.
